Emoji Riddle

JoJo Emoji Riddle turns JoJo's Bizarre Adventure characters into short strings of emoji. A hat, a flag, a colour, an animal, a weapon. Each emoji hints at a Stand, a famous scene, a nationality or a running gag, and you have to guess the JoJo character behind them.

It is a daily puzzle with one answer for everyone, and it cycles through every character with a riddle before any comes back. Some characters have more than one emoji set, so a returning answer can wear a different disguise. Solve it in fewer guesses to rank higher on the daily leaderboard and keep your streak alive.

You start with a single emoji. Type a character's name, choose from the suggestions and submit. If you are wrong, the next emoji in the set is revealed. Each riddle has five emoji and you have five guesses, so by your last attempt you can see the whole clue.

Guess correctly and the portrait of the character appears with your attempt count and time. Run out of guesses or give up and the answer is shown. Either way the day is done, and a countdown shows when the next riddle arrives at midnight UTC.

Your result keeps a daily streak going. If you are signed in, a solved riddle goes on the daily leaderboard, ranked by attempts and time, and you can share your result grid without spoiling the answer.

Think Stand names first. Plenty of Stands are named after bands, songs and tarot cards, and a lot of emoji point at a Stand's name, colour or power rather than at the user's face. If an emoji could describe a Stand, it probably does.

Flags are gifts. A British flag narrows you to Phantom Blood gentlemen and their rivals, an Italian flag leans toward Golden Wind or the Zeppeli family, and an American flag suggests Joseph, Stone Ocean or Steel Ball Run.

Do not waste early guesses on long shots. With only one or two emoji showing, guess the most famous character who fits; the popular cast has the most riddles, and even a miss buys you the next clue.
