Bizarre Links
DailyBizarre Links is a shortest-path puzzle across the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure cast. You get a start character and a target, and you travel between them by following real relationships: family, mentors, teammates, rivals and allies. From Jonathan to Jolyne, from Speedwagon to Pucci, the web of the Joestar saga is surprisingly well connected.
It is a daily puzzle with the same pair for everyone. The shortest possible route, called par, is always between three and five steps. Match par for three stars, or at least finish within two steps of it for two. It is a very different kind of JoJo game: less about power levels and more about remembering who fought, trained or travelled with whom.
How to Play Bizarre Links
The current character is shown with all of their connections, each tagged Family, Mentor, Teammate, Rival or Ally. Tap a connection to move there; every move is one step. Characters with many links show a search box so you can find a name quickly, and characters you have already visited are marked.
Take a wrong turn? Undo steps back one character with no penalty, and your step count drops with it. If you are completely stuck, Give up reveals one of the shortest routes, but it ends your day with no stars.
Reach the target to finish. Steps equal to par earn three stars, up to two over par earns two and anything longer earns one. Signed-in players are ranked on the daily leaderboard by fewest steps, with time as the tie-break. A new pair arrives at midnight UTC, and your daily streak tracks consecutive solves.
How to Find the Shortest Route
Use the bloodlines as highways. The Joestar, Brando, Zeppeli and Kujo families link one Part to the next, so the quickest way from a Stone Ocean inmate to a Phantom Blood character usually runs through Jolyne, Jotaro, Joseph and Jonathan.
Work backwards from the target. Before you tap anything, ask who the target is most closely tied to, such as their team leader, their rival or their parent, and aim for that character instead.
Villains are hubs. Antagonists like DIO, Diavolo and Pucci have rival links to many heroes, so a detour through a big villain can cut a route shorter than going through allies.
